Folks we apologise for the delay in posting after the bookstore fire. We have been getting over the shock of the fire and making sure the displaced tenants are supported in the short term.

Hey, what's up! Rachel's apartment burned down in a fire that started at East Bay Booksellers, and she lost everything. Each donation will really help her get back on her feet, so if you could chip in or share the link, that'd be amazing. Thanks!
Our building has been largely spared, however three tenants of the apartments upstairs are currently displaced, possibly for the long term. Vidit and Divya, who saw the fire and while calling 911 ran through the building alerting everyone at their own risk, and Rachel, who opened her kitchen to flames, are still in shock.
We are very grateful to these people for our shop being spared as well as possibly our lives (the owner of the cafe also lives in the building)
we will edit this when Rachel sends us a fundraiser.
